Orange Thunder Touch has taken home the silverware in 11 of the 12 divisions at the Don Green Western Junior Championships in Mudgee over the weekend.
Thirteen Orange teams made the trek, and all 13 of them ended up in finals and 12 making the grand final in a dominating display over the other 48 teams to turn up to Glen Willow stadium.
The under 10 girls was the only division Orange couldn’t grab a win in, with Dubbo outclassing the Thunder girls 6-1.
There were three one-point wins on the way for Orange, coming in the boys’ under 18s, 16s and 14s divisions.
Mudgee Mudcrabs Touch Football Association publicity officer Ben Harris said the Thunder were “head and shoulders above the rest”.
“They [Orange] could quite easily be the dominant force in country NSW,” he said.
“In their junior development, they’re very very strong.”
