Orange Thunder Touch Football welcomes all new & returning mini/junior touch football players to be involved in our fun social touch football competitions.
This season we are changing our mini & junior social touch football competitions, where all minis & juniors will now be run over two separate competitions – one being held during Term 4 of 2023 (our Spring competition) and one being held during Term 1 of 2024 (our Summer competition). Each of these competitions will run for around 8-9 weeks.
Teams can choose to play in our Spring competition, or our Summer competition, or they can play in both Spring & Summer competitions – we are now giving more kids the opportunity to play more touch 🙂
These changes have been made after getting feedback from our club members and they will offer some of the following benefits to members of our touch family;
- Gives both our mini and junior players the opportunity to enjoy playing touch with their friends for more of the year (kids can play in one or both of our competitions).
- Running two separate & shorter length competitions will make social touch football more accessible to those who can’t commit to a longer season.
- Timing of the competitions will allow school touch teams to participate if they wish (Spring and/or Summer competitions), as well as offer the perfect pre-season fun exercise for any winter based sports (Summer competition, prior to their seasons starting).
The age divisions for our Spring competition (Term 4 of 2023) and our Summer competition (Term 1 of 2024) have been done to allow players to stay in the same team together, if they choose to play in both competitions.

** Please note that the first time any player completes a social touch registration, in any division, there will be a $22 charge, which is the Touch Football Australia (TFA) membership and insurance fee – which is a separate cost TFA charge – but you will only pay this fee once per financial year, no matter how many social touch competitions the player participates in. Please make sure you use the same player profile and mysideline account to register as the first season.
