Orange Touch to turn Purple for social comp fundraising round

Round 7 of our social competitions will see ORANGE Touch turn into a sea of PURPLE as our club holds it’s first fundraiser for the season.

During this round (Tuesday 26 until Thursday 28 November) all Mixed, Mini, Junior and Opens teams are encouraged to dress up in as much purple as possible for our Purple Themed Round.

Why have we chosen a Purple Themed Round?

Hunter Western Hornets have committed to raising money for the research and awareness of Testicular Cancer in Australia. Hornets Life Member and well known touch identity from Western NSW, Don Green, has agreed that if Hornets reach their target goal of $5000, he will dye his hair bright purple (including his head, beard and eyebrows).

How to Help?

Firstly speak to your team mates and come to Round 7 dressed up in as much purple as possible. Please remember to still wear your playing shirt.

Next when you come to touch during Round 7, bring along a gold coin donation and pop it into one of the donation tins at the touch sign-on shed.

Orange Thunder is committed to match all donations received during Round 7 dollar-for-dollar.

Our club will also be giving away three team prizes (one for each night of competition) for the best dressed team.

We look forward to seeing all our players dressed in purple and thank you for getting behind such a great fundraiser to raise money for Testicular Cancer.
